I believe that project 2 was really successful in giving us the opportunity to learn how to work with others in a group. Personally I think my group did a group job on improving our communication skills. I can’t speak for everyone but I can see just from observation that each person took away some type of positive skill from this experience just from working in a group. Another major thing this project taught me was time management because it takes a lot of work to make such a short video and you HAVE to time every step accurately so you can get the work done on time. Both of these skills are things that we need to know when working in the real world.
I think the critique went well, I like the way we waited to read our full artist statement. We gave the viewer a chance to form their own opinion of our work and then we got a chance to explain our concept and ideas. I liked this critique better than the first, it seems like it went a lot smoother.
I think that all the feedback for my group was accurate. I also believe that all the groups did really well. The only things that I would recommend is that we all post to the blog more and maybe even do a blog in-process critique before we turn in our work for the real critique. This would give us time to get and give advice before we finalize the work. This type of simple feedback could help us all improve sooner. Overall this was a great project and we all learned the hard work it takes to make a good stop-motion animation.
