My idea for this project focuses on a dark subject. The purpose of the set of images it to tell a simple story about pregnancy with evocative images. Pregnancy is an uncomfortable subject for me for no other reason than that it makes me uncomfortable (I'm not really sure when or why it started) so I thought this project would be a good outlet to deal with some of that discomfort through subtle imagery.
The tones and colors are all muted and soothing and the recurring image of birds throughout the image set foreshadow difficult obstacles and a descent into depression and madness.
